10–17 September 2023, the European Table Tennis Championship for teams will be held in Malmö Arena and now it is clear that the Swedish company STIGA Sports AB, based in Eskilstuna, will be the official table supplier for the championship.

STIGA Sports AB has been the Swedish Table Tennis Association’s main sponsor for many years and supplies the national teams with match clothes and all championship competitions with materials.

– It feels extremely good to deepen our already long and successful collaboration with STIGA with the European Championships on home soil, the first since 1990. STIGA is our longest-standing partner and now we look forward to winning medals together in front of the Swedish table tennis public, says the Swedish Table Tennis Association’s general secretary Thomas Buza.

One of the goals of the European Table Tennis Championships in Sweden is to be able to offer the audience a new experience regarding appearance, design and layout, something STIGA with this collaboration will be involved in, contribute to and develop.

– Thanks to this agreement, I am convinced that together we will offer the audience, both Swedish and international, something new and exciting. It feels extra fun to deepen the relationship with STIGA and take it to a new level, says Peter Johansson, project manager for the European Table Tennis Championships.

For STIGA Sports, it was a natural choice to become a material supplier for the championship on home soil.

– We are very happy and proud to be able to participate and contribute to the EC on home ground together with the Swedish Table Tennis Association. Together, we continue to work for innovation and development in table tennis, says Andreas Zandrén, CEO of STIGA Sports AB.

In addition to table tennis tables in the competition arena, so-called show courts, the agreement also covers training tables, barriers and other equipment needed to run a successful championship.

– We look forward to taking a new approach to what a traditional table tennis championship can be, with increased activation even outside the paddock, with, among other things, product briefings for visitors and launches of new products, says Felix Wirström, marketing manager for STIGA Sports AB.

The European Table Tennis Championships in Malmö Arena 10-17 September 2023 is a team competition. Reigning champions on both the women’s and men’s side are Germany. Tickets will be released in autumn 2022.
