Germany is the defending champion in the EC in both the men’s and women’s classes. Now they are in the double finals once again, despite the absence of their top trio Dimitrij Ovtcharov, world number 9, Dang Qiu, world number 14, and Patrick Franziska, world number 25. In the women’s final, the opponent is Romania. The question is whether it will be Germany-Sweden in Sunday’s men’s final.
After yesterday’s successful drama against Hungary (3–2) we can only say:
Hang in there, Swedes!
